We partner with companies in healthcare, finance, media, technology, life & environmental science to help them and their audience to understand complex data via bespoke software platforms, products and tools.
We developed the Data Design Playbook to allow us to be flexible and solve all types of data problems; from building map based products, working with scientists to build internal data tools or developing platforms for media orgs to communicate with the public. Our Playbook is broken down into four steps, Analyse, Understand, Ideate and Develop each with a selection of methods we use.
We're a collective of designers, developers, artists and researchers who are passionate about wrangling with data to create products, platforms and tools to make data understandable and useful. Our founder, Harry, is a designer and engineer who has spent the last 15 years designing and leading products and projects for organisations worldwide across multiple sectors. Therefore, we are a design-led organisation that cares deeply about people and how they use our work.
We care about building an ethical company that tries to do the right thing. We created a set of 4 values below, which help us make good decisions and take positive actions to be a good, sustainable & ethical company.
Convention and mindless institutionalisation are dangerous. If there is a better way to do something then let's do it in a mindful way.
The truth is at the root of our company whether it's building a data tool, learning about new problems, or speaking your mind and being open with each other. Because the truth is trust.
We view both team members and "clients" as partners. We support and go above and beyond for each other. We value and prioritise healthy long term relationships.
Work should be fun not a drain. We can be serious while not taking ourself too seriously. Great work happens in a great environment.
